Based on resolver's experience, your local authority should provide satisfactory community care services. The Local Authority Social Services and National Health Services Complaints (England) Regulations 2009 stipulates that you have a right to complain if the services provided by your local authority have fallen below your expectations.
In order to submit a complaint, you must have received services from the council. The local authority's complaints procedures must also be followed. In the first instance, complain to the council service provider. If you are dissatisfied with their response, have not received a response or if the issue has not been resolved, you should then escalate to the council's complaints officer.
