Based on resolver’s experience to date, being unable to use your mobile phone, for any reason, can be very frustrating. If your phone is not working you should contact your service provider who may be able to help to identify the problem. If you bought the phone less than a year ago, it is likely that the handset is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but if you purchased the phone over a year ago, contact your insurer.

Read through your policy small print very carefully as you may be covered for electrical and mechanical failure of your phone. If your claim is accepted then you insurers will either repair or replace your handset or give you a cash settlement. Bear in mind that you will have to pay an excess which could be quite high in the case of smartphones.

Resolver can help you resolve this issue quickly, free of charge and without the hassle. We can also help you with the next step of writing your complaint. Click on the link below to create your email.
You should know
  • If you’re making a complaint about making an insurance claim rather than a mis-sold policy, check your documents to see who the “underwriter” is. You’ll need to make a complaint to that organisation.
